COMING TOGETHER FOR KAMDEN: AN ANADARKO FAMILY NEEDS OUR SUPPORT
ANADARKO, OKLA. (TUC) — When Victoria reached out to us and asked if we could help share this, we said yes without hesitation. Because when someone in our community is hurting, no one should have to carry that burden alone.
When a family in our community hurts, we all hurt with them. We show up, we rally around one another, and we help carry the weight however we can. That’s what community is supposed to be about.
And right now, Victoria and her family need all of our help. They’re going through something no family should ever have to face, and they shouldn’t have to carry all of this on their own. This is one of those times where we can come together as a community, help take a little bit of that weight off their shoulders, and remind them that they’re not alone.
Victoria shared with us that if she is unable to make this next payment, Kamden’s death certificate will be withheld. And y’all, no parent should have to deal with that on top of already grieving the loss of their child. There is already enough weight on this family’s shoulders right now without having to worry about something like this too.
And instead of trying to tell Victoria’s story for her, we want y’all to hear directly from her.
So, from Victoria herself, in her own words and voice:
“On May 7th of this year, I lost my son, Kamden. No parent is ever prepared for that kind of pain, and my family and I are still trying to make it through this heartbreaking loss one day at a time.
Along with our grief, I am now facing a remaining balance for his funeral costs. The funeral home sent me a letter saying that if I do not pay the balance, they will withhold Kamden’s death certificate and send the account to collections. I also fell behind on my bills after taking time off for his funeral, and I simply do not have the extra money to keep up with these payments on my own.
I am asking for help so I can pay the remaining funeral balance for Kamden. Any funds raised will go directly to the funeral home. This support would lift a heavy burden from me and my family during one of the hardest times in our lives and allow me to focus on grieving my son instead of fearing more financial stress.
If you are able to give, please know that any amount helps. If you cannot donate, your prayers, kindness, and sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much to us.
Any support will help me and my family, and I am truly grateful for anything you can do.”

We’re linking Victoria’s GoFundMe below for anyone who is able to help.
If you’re able to donate, even just a few dollars can add up and help take some of this weight off her family’s shoulders. And if donating isn’t possible right now, we completely understand. Helping us share the fundraiser and helping us get it in front of more people can make a difference too.
At the end of the day, we can’t take away the pain Victoria and her family are carrying. We can’t change what happened, and we can’t make this kind of loss hurt any less. But what we can do is make sure they don’t feel like they have to carry all of it alone.
This is what community is about. It’s showing up for each other when life gets unbearably heavy and helping carry even a small piece of that weight.
Victoria, we hope you know there are people standing beside you, thinking of you, praying for you, and rooting for you and your entire family every step of the way. And we truly hope our community can come together and help give you one less thing to worry about while you grieve your sweet Kamden.
Our hearts are with you, Victoria, and with every single person who knew and loved your sweet boy so much. His memory will live on forever through every life he touched, every heart that loved him, and every memory that will continue to carry a piece of him forward.
