OKLAHOMA (TUC) — Your weekly temperamental weather report is here, and y’all, it looks like the heat has decided to stick around a little bit longer.

Kind of like those relatives who come to visit from out of town and then unexpectedly extend their stay. Like, we love you and all, but when exactly were you planning on heading home?

It looks like Oklahoma summer has made itself a little too comfortable, and at this point, fall is starting to feel a little less like a season and a whole lot more like a rumor.

OKLAHOMA (TUC) — Brace yourselves, folks. It's going to be another week from hell. Temperatures are expected to stay in the triple digits for the majority of the week. Disrespectfully... that's offensive.

Today we'll top out around 97 degrees, with an overnight low of 70 degrees. Is it our preferred 50 degrees? Absolutely not. But will take what we can get at this point because we're starting to lose all hope.

OKLAHOMA — Y'all, meteorologists from all across our state are saying today is expected to be the hottest day of the summer. By this afternoon, it's safe to say that we might all start feeling a little medium rare, with the heat index expected to reach as high as 115 in several parts across the state.

OKLAHOMA — Well, y'all, Satan just called and asked what in tarnation is going on in Oklahoma this week because, apparently, we're making Hell look pretty bad. His marketing team has officially filed a complaint claiming that we have copied their entire business model and "brand".

We kid, but take a step outside and tell us we're wrong.

This week seems like it's going to be pretty stressful on all of our HVAC systems. So, if your A/C unit has been acting a little sus lately, now is a good time to get it looked at before it decides to retire in the middle of a 100-degree afternoon. Don't say we didn't warn you.

OKLAHOMA — Alright y'all, it's time for your feral weather weekly update. Most of y'all may skip right past this, but we'd rather give you a heads up about what's going on because it's important to stay informed. Don't complain later when we tried to warn y'all.

Today, it's looking a bit cloudy. We guess it just depends on what part of the state you live in. Here in the southwestern corner of Oklahoma, we had a little bit of overcast earlier, but now the sun is out in full blast. The temperatures are a bit cooler compared to this past weekend, thank the Lord. We'll take 80-degree weather over 100-degree weather any day.

OKLAHOMA — Folks, it looks like the northern part of our state is sitting under a high risk for severe thunderstorms starting sometime tonight and continuing into Saturday morning.

Then, sometime on Saturday afternoon, while a lot of us are just trying to enjoy the weekend with our families, hanging out at the pool, firing up the Blackstone, or simply just "bed rotting", another round of storms is expected to develop and move across the I-40 into Oklahoma City before then continuing east toward Shawnee and Seminole.

OKLAHOMA — Y'all, we have some very unfortunate news to share. We are sadly going to be sitting in the mid to upper 90's all week long, and on the Fourth, it's expected to be around 97 degrees.

So, if you were hoping for some kind of cool-down period for the Fourth of July week, it's looking like Mother Nature decided to see just how crispy she could make it.

Alright folks, most of y'all probably scroll right past these weather posts, and we get it. But it's still important to us to keep you informed about what's going on with Mother Nature, because she seems a little unstable right now.
