BEHIND THE STORIES: A MESSAGE FROM OUR TEAM

OKLAHOMA (TUC) — We just wanted to take a moment to check in with everyone. It's been a hot minute since we've done that, and we never want to lose sight of what matters most: you all, our community.

We hope all of y'all are doing well and enjoying these last little bits of summer before the kiddos go back to school. And if you don't have kiddos, well then, enjoy sleeping in while you still can.

First and foremost, thank you for your support. The communities we serve are, and always will be, the heart of The Untold Chronicle. For those of y'all who have been with us for quite some time, you already know what we're about. You've seen how we operate, and you know what we stand for.

And for those who are just joining us, full disclosure: We are definitely not your typical media company, and we never intended to be. We're unfiltered, sometimes a little too honest, and every now and then a little feral. We laugh together, we debate stories, we second-guess ourselves, and yes, we occasionally drive each other a little crazy.

But one thing you can always expect from us is that we're going to be real. We're just regular people who genuinely care about our amazing state and the communities we serve. If we get something wrong, we'll own it and correct it. If we don't know an answer, we'll tell you. We'd rather be honest and real with you all than pretend to have it all figured out. That's who we are, and that's who we'll continue to be.

We're human at the end of the day. We all come from different backgrounds, have different experiences, and sometimes different opinions on how a story should be told.

But those conversations are part of what makes our team work. We challenge each other, ask the tough questions, play devil's advocate, and look at stories from every angle we can before we publish them. It doesn't always make things easier, and it definitely doesn't make us the fastest, but we believe it helps us be more fair, more balanced, and more accurate. At the end of the day, that's what matters most to us.

And yes, our team remains anonymous. We know that frustrates some people, and we completely understand why people are curious. But we're not anonymous because we have something to hide, and it's most def not because we're afraid. We made that decision together because our families never signed up for this. They didn't choose to be part of a news page, and they shouldn't have to deal with the attention, criticism, or threats that can come with it. We'd much rather keep the focus where it belongs, on the stories and the communities we serve, not on us.

At the end of the day, we don't want this page to be about us. We want it to be about the stories that need to be told, the families searching for answers, the victims who deserve to be heard, and the communities all across our state that we are so honored to serve. If people remember anything about The Untold Chronicle, we hope it's the work we've done and the impact those stories have made, not the faces behind the page.

As The Untold Chronicle continues to grow, we just wanted to take a moment to check in with y'all and say thank you. Thank you for reading our stories, sharing our posts, sending us tips, offering words of encouragement, and trusting us to keep you informed.

We don't ever take your trust for granted, and we never will. We promise to continue doing our very best to serve our communities with honest, fair, and accurate reporting while staying true to who we are.

So, long story short, we just wanted to say thank you.

Thank y'all for being part of this journey with us. Whether you've been here since day one or just recently found our page, we're grateful you're here. We truly appreciate every single one of y'all, and we're excited to continue growing alongside this incredible community.
