DID Y'ALL KNOW? CADDO COUNTY IS A GENEALOGY GOLDMINE

In Anadarko, the Caddo County Genealogical Society houses its records repository inside the Anadarko Community Library. You can find all kinds of cool resources there, from everything about family history records to historical documents and rare books about Caddo County. So, whether you're trying to learn where your family came from or just enjoy digging into our local history, it's a pretty neat place to check out.

But that's not the only place preserving our local history. Over in Apache, the Apache Area Genealogical Society has a genealogical library and they also care for the Mattoon Collection, which is an extensive genealogy collection connected to families with roots in Apache.

The Carnegie Genealogical Society is another great resource for anyone wanting to learn more about their family's history. And if your search takes you beyond Caddo County, the Southwest Oklahoma Genealogical Society in Lawton has resources that cover several counties throughout southwest Oklahoma, including right here at home.
