OKLAHOMA'S FOURTH OF JULY WEEK FERAL WEATHER FORECAST: HOTTER THAN A FIREWORK

OKLAHOMA — Y'all, we have some very unfortunate news to share. We are sadly going to be sitting in the mid to upper 90's all week long, and on the Fourth, it's expected to be around 97 degrees.

So, if you were hoping for some kind of cool-down period for the Fourth of July week, it's looking like Mother Nature decided to see just how crispy she could make it.

Rain? Who is she? Shade? Temporary. Grass? Extra crunchy. And don't forget about the mosquitoes, because they're somehow still thriving in the middle of all of this.

So, starting now, expect your steering wheel to double as a branding iron and your car to feel like an oven every time you open the door.

Monday: 95° – "It's not the heat, it's the humidity." No, Brenda... it's both.

Tuesday: 95° – The pavement is now medium rare. Flip your flip-flops halfway through the day.

Wednesday: 93° – Mother Nature gives us a whole two-degree discount and expects applause.

Thursday: 94° – The clouds are there for emotional support only.

Friday: 95° – Air Fryer: Oklahoma Edition.

Saturday: 97° – HOTTER THAN A FIREWORK.

Sunday: 96° – The sun has officially filed for overtime.

That all being said, if you're heading out this week to celebrate America's 250th birthday, make sure you pack plenty of sunscreen, drink lots of water, and take a break in the shade every now and then. Otherwise, you might come home looking like a boiled lobster, and trust us... your skin will remember it long after the fireworks are over.

We want y'all making memories this Fourth of July, not making an appointment with the dermatologist a few years from now.
