WEEKEND WEATHER UPDATE: IT'S GIVING... OKLAHOMA.

OKLAHOMA — Folks, it looks like the northern part of our state is sitting under a high risk for severe thunderstorms starting sometime tonight and continuing into Saturday morning.

Then, sometime on Saturday afternoon, while a lot of us are just trying to enjoy the weekend with our families, hanging out at the pool, firing up the Blackstone, or simply just "bed rotting", another round of storms is expected to develop and move across the I-40 into Oklahoma City before then continuing east toward Shawnee and Seminole.

And for those of us down here in the southwestern corner of our beautiful state, we seem to be suspiciously in the clear... at least for now.

Don't hold your breath, though, because this is Oklahoma. And around here, we all know that Oklahoma has a bad habit of being extra dramatic. One minute you're chilling catching some rays, and next you're chasing your favorite lounge chair across the neighbor's yard.

So, if you have any outdoor plans for Saturday, be sure to keep an eye on the weather, you know, just in case. Because around here, the weather has a tendency to change its mind faster than the checkout lines at Walmart.

Stay safe y'all. Drink plenty of water and use your sunscreen.
