ANADARKO: COMMUNITY UPDATE — THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO: ONE OF OUR ELDERS GOT JUSTICE TODAY

ANADARKO, OKLA. (TUC) — As many of y’all may remember, about a week or two ago, we reported on several people in our community, including some of our elders, who came forward after allegedly being taken advantage of through real estate and vehicle sales.

When those concerns were brought to us, our team got to work immediately. We started making calls, looking into the situations being reported to us, and helping connect people with the right resources to hopefully get something done.

And y’all, we are SO happy to report that today, one of our elders finally got the justice they deserved!

And we want to make something very clear: it’s never about us. It’s about victories like this for the people in our communities. It’s about someone finally being heard. It’s about helping people find the right resources when they don’t know where else to turn. And sometimes, it’s just about standing beside someone and reminding them that they don’t have to fight alone.

At the end of the day, we do this for y’all. Seeing someone in our community finally get the outcome they’ve been fighting for means more to us than any views, likes, shares, or recognition ever could.

Today, one of our elders got their victory, and THAT is what matters.

And to our elder who trusted us enough to bring this situation to us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for trusting our team with your story and allowing us to stand beside you through this. We don’t take that trust lightly, and we couldn’t be happier to see you get the justice you deserved today.
