APPARENT ROAD RAGE LEADS TO FATAL HIGHWAY 152 CRASH
OKLAHOMA CITY — Y'all, there was a horrible wreck yesterday in the city. It's a heartbreaking reminder that no matter how upset or angry we may get behind the wheel, it's never worth letting it go this far. And now, a young woman is dead as the result of an apparent road rage incident.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, two vehicles were reportedly involved in a road rage incident while traveling in the northbound lanes of Highway 152 near Southwest 59th yesterday. In a horrific turn of events, the two vehicles collided, sending one of them rolling into the southbound lanes, where it then crashed into another vehicle, killing that driver.
The victim has now been identified as 25-year-old Sharon Ladimar Paz Herrera. Authorities have also reported that there was a young child secured in a car seat in the backseat of her vehicle.
Both Herrera and the driver of the vehicle that rolled and struck her car were transported to a local hospital. Sadly, Herrera passed away shortly after arriving. The only bit of good news to come from this heartbreaking incident is that the young child riding in the backseat of Herrera's vehicle was not injured.
There are no words to describe how tragic this whole situation is. And all because of what police say was an apparent road rage incident. Y'all, it's not worth it. One moment of anger can drastically change lives forever. Please think before you act, and get home safely.
Our hearts are with Herrera's family and everyone who has been affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. We will be keeping them all in our prayers. We ask that you do the same.
