OKLAHOMA CITY: YOUR DESIGN COULD BECOME OKC'S NEXT CITY FLAG

OKLAHOMA CITY — It looks like Oklahoma City is going to get a brand-new (city) flag, y'all.

Mayor Holt of Oklahoma City has recently launched the OKC Flag Project, which is an initiative that gives residents the opportunity to help redesign the city's official flag. A website has also been created where people can learn more about the project.

We think this is pretty cool, y'all. It's not everyday you get the chance to make something that will become a part of OKC's history.

And before you run over there ready to submit your designs, the submission process is still being finalized. But once it's officially ready, members of the community will be able to submit flag designs that honor and reflect what Oklahoma City is truly about. There will also be a few design guidelines that submissions will need to follow, so be sure to keep those in mind before deciding to submit your design.

After the submission period ends, a committee made up of Oklahoma City residents will then review the entries and help determine which designs will move forward in the selection process.
