BACK IN COURT: MOTHER OF RJ DAVIS APPEARS IN COURT TODAY

CADDO COUNTY — Y'all remember this one? It still makes us sick to our stomachs.

Kimberly Cole, the biological mother of RJ Davis, is headed back to court today.

RJ is the little boy who went missing back in January of this year, sparking a massive search that stretched across Grady and Caddo County as law enforcement and volunteers worked desperately to find him. Thankfully, despite everything that followed, RJ was found alive, and that's something we'll always be grateful for.

Kimberly Cole has been charged with three counts of child abuse, two counts of child s*xual abuse, three counts of child neglect, one count of conspiracy, and two counts of crimes against nature.

The child's stepfather, George Cole, was also charged in the case. He was charged with eight counts of child abuse, one count of child s*xual abuse, three counts of child neglect, one count of pattern of criminal offenses, and one count of conspiracy.

Many of y'all also remember that George Cole attempted suicide while in custody earlier this year. He was hospitalized afterward and later died after being removed from life support. As for where he is now... we'll let y'all draw your own conclusions.

As always, because we have to say it, criminal charges are allegations, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

We hope RJ receives the justice he deserves, and we'll continue following this every step of the way. We will keep y'all updated as we learn more.
