ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL ARRESTED ON COMPLAINT OF INDECENT PROPOSALS TO A CHILD

CARNEY, OKLA. (TUC) — A Carney elementary school principal, identified as Allen Bellmyer, was taken into custody on Sunday and booked into the Lincoln County Jail on a complaint of lewd or indecent proposals to a child. Bellmyer was later released from jail after posting bond.

Carney Public Schools has also released a statement regarding the incident, saying they are aware of the criminal investigation and that the principal will not be on campus or attending any school functions or activities while the investigation is ongoing. The school district also says they are cooperating with investigators as they work to gather more information about what happened.
