GAS PRICES ARE FINALLY HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. WE THINK...
OKLAHOMA — Y'all, in some really good news, gas prices have actually seem to have dropped. After a few weeks of making our wallets cry every time we pull up to the pump, it looks like we're finally getting a little bit of a break.
According to AAA, the national average price of gas has been falling for three straight weeks. Reports indicate it has dropped from around $4.56 per gallon in late May to just over $4.10 per gallon this month. And we're not going to lie, it hurts to even type those numbers out because $4 gas still feels criminal. But at this point, we'll take whatever win we can get.
Now, keep in mind, that's the national average. Here in Oklahoma, prices are typically a little lower than what the rest of the country is seeing, so many drivers should be paying less than that at the pump.
Now, before everybody starts celebrating like we're back to $1.99 a gallon, experts are saying that prices can still change depending on what happens with the oil markets and world events. So, fill up while it's cheaper than usual, because if there's one thing we've learned, it's that gas prices can change faster than Oklahoma weather.
Have you noticed gas prices dropping in your area, or is your local gas station still out here testing your financial stability?
