YOUNG MAN FOUND DEAD NEAR EL RENO ROADWAY, FOUL PLAY NOT RULED OUT
EL RENO, OKLA. (TUC) — On Thursday morning around 5:00, El Reno Police officers responded to reports of a body near a roadway.
Officers immediately responded to the area of Southwest 27th St. and Choctaw Ave., where they confirmed that a Native American man, believed to be around 20 years old, had been found deceased.
As officers began looking into the circumstances surrounding his death, the investigation quickly expanded. Police now believe there may be multiple scenes connected to the case, with officers working two separate areas, one along Choctaw Ave. and another on Southwest 27th St., as they try to piece together exactly what happened.
At this point in time, investigators have not released the identity of the young man. The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine both the cause and manner of his death, and until more is known, the authorities say foul play has not been ruled out.
It’s heartbreaking to think about because, beyond the investigation, this is someone’s son, someone’s family member, and someone’s loved one. We hope his family is able to get the answers they deserve.
We will be following this one closely as authorities continue working to determine exactly what happened.
