SUSPECTED DUI WRONG-WAY DRIVER CAUSES HEAD-ON CRASH IN OKLAHOMA CITY, ONE INJURED

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (TUC) — Earlier this morning near Southwest 59th St. and Walker Ave., a wrong-way driver suspected of driving under the influence collided head-on with another vehicle.

Police say 34-year-old Julian Manzano was taken into custody following the crash and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center. One person was injured in the collision and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their condition is unknown at this time.

Thankfully, from what we know right now, this crash did not result in a fatality. However, it is another reminder of just how quickly someone’s life can change when an impaired driver gets behind the wheel.

Y’all, time and time again, we’ve said it: do not get behind the wheel when you’re under the influence. It’s not worth risking your life or the life of an innocent person who just happened to be sharing the road with you.

Our prayers are with the victim, and we truly hope they are able to make a full and speedy recovery.
