GRADY COUNTY DEPUTIES ARREST MAN ACCUSED OF VIOLATING PROTECTIVE ORDER

GRADY COUNTY, OKLA (TUC) — A press release was made earlier today by the Grady County Sheriff's Department regarding a male who violated a victim protective order on August 2nd.

According to the Grady County Sheriff's Office, 44-year-old Dusty Venable has been taken into custody and booked into the Grady County Jail. He is facing two counts of violating a victim's protective order and one count of first-degree burglary.

According to Grady County Sheriff Gary Boggess, deputies responded to a call for service at a residence in the 2800 block of County Street 2780 near Chickasha during the evening hours on Sunday.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with a woman at the residence, who told them that Dusty Venable had invited himself into the home while looking for another female resident. The woman who spoke with deputies told them she felt unsafe and was visibly shaken.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the second woman, whose identity has not been released, is the protected party named in the victim protective order against Venable. And a short time later, deputies were able to locate Dusty Venable and took him into custody without further incident.

This remains an active investigation. And as always, because it's important to say, the charges filed are allegations that have not been proven in court. We will continue following this case and keep y'all updated as new information becomes available.
